I remember that one well. Back when showing a whole movie on TV was a big deal.

I remember watching close encounters when it came out on network TV for the first time. It was a 13" color tv in a church classroom. There was some dinner that night and the kids were bored, like, the older kids and there werent many of us so we set up camp and watched. It was a real fun time. Just a way cool movie. Still is today.

The Austin Symphony put on a show of that last year, with the orchestra playing the music. It was a blast. The movie definitely holds up.
